'Agile thief' steals £1,000 worth of tools from Brighton home

A police spokesperson said: "At around 6.10pm on Thursday, July 26 a man approached the property on Marine Parade and looked around before climbing over the railings and dropping down into the basement area six foot below.

"The suspect has stolen over £1,000 worth of tools from the light well and then climbed back out and left.

"He is described as white, 50-60s wearing a purple T-shirt with green and blue picture on the front, black trousers and black shoes. "
