Three balaclava-clad burglars are on the run after stabbing a man in his home in Oriental Place, Brighton.

The armed men forced their way into the flat on Monday, April 2.

Officers were called to the property at 10.30pm and police are now appealing for witnesses.

Following the attack the victim wrote a public post on Facebook: “The buzzer went and we were not expecting anyone so didn’t open the door and assumed someone had buzzed the wrong flat.

“A few minutes later there was a knock at the flat door so I opened my flat door assuming it was someone from the building.

“They said give us all your stuff. As I tried to push and kick them away to get the door closed they forced entry so I ran upstairs.”

The attackers were described as white and all wearing balaclavas and caps.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

Anyone with information should report it online or call 101 quoting reference 1150 of 02/04.
