Appeal for witnesses to Brighton assault as victim is identified

Police investigating an assault in Brighton have now identified the victim following a CCTV appeal.

Officers released a CCTV image on Sunday (February 10), in a bid to trace the victim, who has since been identified, Sussex Police confirmed today.

Police were called to the assault at Barrack Yard, next to the Prince Regent Swimming Complex, just after 1pm on Saturday (February 8 ).

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have any further information, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Limewood.
