Brighton Police hope to reunite stolen bike with owner

Police recovered a bike which had been stolen from a rack in New Road, Brighton, and now want to trace its owner.

Sussex Police said in the early hours on Friday (April 12), thieves broke the lock on the bike and stole it.

Police said officers arrested two teenage boys on suspicion of theft and were able to locate a grey and white Carrera mountain bike.

Crime investigator Oliver Taylor said: "We have located the bike but need to trace its owner. Please get in touch with us if it is your bike or you know who owns it."

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a pedal cycle and another boy aged 17 was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft. They have been released under investigation until June 12.
