Officers say an 18-year-old local man was walking along Church Street when he was approached by two men described as white, aged 25-30 and wearing grey tracksuits, who asked what football team he supports.

When he replied “Millwall”, Sussex Police said the suspects kicked him to the ground and continued to kick him in the head. It is suspected others may have joined in before they all made off, possibly in a car, said police.
