Burglars target lawn mowers in identical Storrington thefts

Two lawn mowers have been targeted in similar break-ins to garden sheds in Storrington in recent weeks.

A red motor mower was stolen when a garden shed in Chantry Lane was broken into.

The offence occurred at some time overnight between 11pm on Friday March 7 and 10am on Saturday March 8.

It is believed offenders gained entry through the door as the padlock have been unlocked.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

About a week later, a lawn mower worth £699 was stolen from a garden shed in Fryern Road, Storrington.

The break-in again occurred overnight, between 5pm on Thursday March 13 and 8.30am on Friday March 14.

The lawn mower is described as an Ariens Arilm21s, petrol 4 stroke 21 inch.

Offenders were able to break the lock to gain entry to the shed.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
