Police are concerned for the welfare of 16-year-old Ella Sears, who was reported missing on Tuesday (January 3).
Ella, from Hove, was last seen in Brighton before setting off to attend a New Year’s Eve party in Oxted, Surrey, and is known to have contacts in both Surrey and Sussex.
Police said she was known to have £20 cash in her possession and was supposed to be accompanying a friend called Anna. But it is not known if she did so or where she is now.
The teenager is described as white, 5ft 3, of slim/medium build, with brown shoulder length hair partially dyed red. She was last seen wearing a red Puffa jacket and black jeans, and carrying a black back-pack.
Vicky Morris, Brighton and Hove missing persons co-ordinator, said: “We are obviously concerned for Ella because of her age.
“She’s not in any trouble but we do need her, or anyone who has seen her or who may know where she is, to get in touch as soon as possible so that we know she’s okay.”
