Court results - Mid Sussex

The following are results from Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Thomas Ghochani, 18, of Barn Cottage Lane, Haywards Heath, was fined £40, with a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Haywards Heath.

Marc Oakden, 48, of Chandlers Field Drive, Haywards Heath, was banned from driving for two years and five months, given a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work, a £60 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving in Crawley. Court records say he had 121mcg alcohol in 100ml breath - more than three times the legal limit of 35mcg.

Daniel Nicolaou, 23, of Walmer Crescent, Brighton, was banned from driving for a year, with a £275 fine, a £28 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Bolney.

Joanna Hornsbury, 45, of Chilton Grove, Lindfield, was given a 15 week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with an £80 victim surcharge, and £150 costs. She had pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to notify a change in circumstances affecting her entitlement to benefits.

Emily Anscombe, 25, of Church Road, Haywards Heath, was ordered to pay £175 compensation, with an £80 fine, a £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to four counts of causing criminal damage to cars, and to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, all in Haywards Heath.

Jack Delaney, 23, of Somerford Road, Cirencester, was given a community order with a £60 victim surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to harassment and to theft, both in Burgess Hill, and admitted breaching a bail condition. A restraining order was made, barring him from contacting the victim, or going to two addresses in Burgess Hill.

John Monks, 47, of Sugworth Close, Haywards Heath, was banned from driving for a year, with a £400 fine, a £40 victim surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving at Haywards Heath.
