Daniel Matthews, 33, of Eversfield Road, Eastbourne, was sentenced to 22 months in prison at Lewes Crown Court on July 1, for putting a woman in fear through a frightening stalking campaign, in which he threatened to cut her face and put personal photos of her on a pornographic website, said police.
Kevin William Barden, 41, of Deepdene Gardens, Hastings, and Gary Lee Field, 29, of Firle Close, Hastings, were jailed at Lewes Crown Court on July 22 after both pleaded guilty to assaulting a 23-year-old man in Ore, said police. The victim was punched and hit by a ball-bearing fired from a catapult. Barden received 17 months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Field received 14 months' imprisonment for ABH, said police.
Frank Smith, 50, of Canberra Place, Tangmere, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court, on July 23 to a nine-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent to his ex-partner at her home in Pulborough in October 2018, said police.
Marli Casaletto from Brighton was sent to prison for five years at Brighton Crown Court in July for his involvement in a robbery of a security van in November 2018, said police. Two boxes of cash were stolen from a security van crew member who was threatened with an axe in Conway Street, Hove, on November 19 2018, police added.
