Man, 19, charged with Brighton Marina Asda cycling offences

A man has been charged with dangerous cycling relating to an incident in Asda.

Keith Mujuru, 19, unemployed, of Law Street, Southwark, London, will appear in court later this month charged with offences relating to the incident at Brighton Marina in June, Sussex Police said.

Mujuru was arrested in Whyteleafe, Surrey, in the early hours of Wednesday (October 9), a spokesman added.

He said: “[Mujuru] has been charged with dangerous cycling, using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and arrest by a constable as unlikely to surrender to custody - breach of bail conditions.

“He has been bailed with conditions not to enter Brighton and Hove and will appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on October 23.”

A 13-year-old boy, who was arrested in connection with the same incident, is currently released under investigation pending further enquiries, the spokesman added.

He said: “In the meantime, he has been referred to the Youth Offender Services.”
