Man charged after security van robbery in Hove

A man has been charged following a robbery of a security van in Hove, police said.

Sussex Police said Marli Casaletto, 25, of Uplands Road, Brighton, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (November 24) charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article and two counts of receiving stolen goods.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on December 21.

Police are still hunting for three people connected to a robbery in Conway Street, at 1.20pm on Monday November 19.

Four robbers on the back of two scooters stole two boxes of cash from a member of security staff, who was threatened with an axe, police said.
