Man charged with possessing a machete in Brighton


A man has been charged with possessing a bladed article in public after police were called to reports of a man with a machete in Brighton on Friday (August 23).

Police said officers located a man in Chailey Road matching the description given by a member of the public and he was arrested.

A machete was located and seized. No one was hurt.

Police added that Conna Gregory, 24, of no fixed address, has been released on bail to attend Brighton Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
