Man '˜threatens two others with hammer' in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man threatened two others with a hammer outside a Brighton bar.

Sussex Police said officers were called around 7.50pm on Wednesday (April 25) to Latest Music bar in Manchester Street, Brighton, after reports of a verbal altercation outside.

One man is reported to have threatened two others with what was believed to be a hammer.

Police said a 29-year-old man from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of common assault.

He remains in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
