Police appeal after woman stabbed and beaten in Patcham

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident at Horsdean traveller site in St Michael's Way, Patcham, in which a 37-year-old woman was stabbed and beaten during an argument.

A Sussex Police statement says that it happened outside sometime overnight on Tuesday (December 27) and Wednesday (December 28) and left the victim with facial bruising and a stab wound to her left buttock.

The suspect, a 35-year-old man who is known to her, is believed to have fled to London.
