Police seize ‘large quantity of Class A drugs and cash’ in Brighton

Police have seized a large quantity of class A drugs and cash in Brighton.

Officers said they saw two people acting suspiciously in a car near Little Preston Street around on Tuesday (October 8).

The vehicle was stopped nearby in Kings Road and the occupants detained, said police.

Officers said a search of the vehicle was conducted and a large amount of class A drugs and cash were seized. Further address searches were conducted and a quantity of cannabis, cash and drug paraphernalia were discovered, said police.

A 21-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and a 21-year-old woman from London was arrested on suspicion of concerned in the supply of a class A drug and possession with intent to supply a class B drug, said police.

Officers said both have been released on police bail until November 4 while enquiries are ongoing.
