Duke praises tollbridge at reopening ceremony
THE Duke of York officially opened the Old Shoreham Tollbridge and said it was 'wonderful' it had been restored.
Around 300 people were at the reopening of the historic grade II* listed bridge last Thursday. It was originally built acrosds the River Adur tidal estuary in 1781.
The duke said the bridge had been a thoroughfare for years and years and it was wonderful it was back in operation.
