PRESERVATION SOCIETY: East Hoathly and District Preservation Society presents: Quirky Sussex by Kevin Gordon. This quirky talk is a result of men’s travels around the County, looking for the strange and unusual. This includes people as well as places. The talk includes pyramids, dangerous ducks, saints, tub men and taxidermists. Kevin is a retired British Transport Police Officer and keen local historian. A trustee of Seaford Museum, Chairman of the Alfriston Historical Society, accredited guide of the Houses of Parliament and maybe known for his weekly items in the Sussex Express. He now writes a Sussex History Blog (www.sussexhistory.net). The event will take place in East Hoathly Village Hall tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm. Admission is free to members and guests welcome at £3.

SOUP AND SOCIABILITY: East Hoathly and District Social Club’s next Pop in Lunch will be on April 7 at 12.30pm in the village hall. Come and join us for some fresh homemade soup and a selection of delicious deserts. Only £2.50. We would welcome some new faces both to enjoy some great company and to help us to continue to deliver a great tradition in the village. Have you got a few hours to join our team? Contact Janet Jupp 01825 880028 or Diane Knill 01825 840062. Janet is also available for any lifts for hospital appointments.
