Emergency services tackle burning van in Eastbourne after arson attack

A burned out van found in Eastbourne yesterday evening (December 20) is believed to have been recently stolen, according to Sussex Police.

Fire crews and police were called to the vehicle on fire in Fletching Road, Hampden Park, at 5pm yesterday.

A nearby garage was damaged during the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Police said the fire is believed to have been started deliberately and confirmed it had been reported stolen from Eastbourne the day before.
