Emsworth road re-opens after flooding

The road was closed this morning after severe flooding, but re-opened at 11.30am.

Around 50 homes in Bridge Road, which joins Havant Road, opposite the Millpond were flooded, along a 200m stretch.

Residents were evacuated to St James’ Church Hall, in Church Path while firefighters work to clear the floods at 8am today.

Crews from Havant, Fareham, Hythe and Hardley as well as Fareham’s Water Support Unit were in attendance.
