Birdwatch at Arundel Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust

Despite the Indian Summer we seem to be enjoying, the seasons are on the shift; the signs are everywhere. On my journey to the Trust early every morning I pass field blanketed with gossamer veils of mist.

I see webs adorning the dried seed heads of meadow sweet, willow herb and teasel, showing evidence that spioers are on the move looking to find a mate, an annual autumnal activity.
