Fire crews are currently at the scene of a large fire at Bury Hill, Houghton.
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service says that 370 acres of crops are currently alight.
Six fire engines are at the scene, along with six off-road vehicles and two water carriers.
People living nearby are being advised to close their windows because of a large amount of smoke in the area.
