Now in it’s 35th year, the festival takes place on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the August Bank holiday weekend.

This year the theme is “Once upon a time - a celebration of children’s books” and there are already over fifty beautiful themed displays booked for the event.

The festival regularly attracts hundreds of visitors from both the UK and overseas, including Holland and France, and many of the flower arrangers pay for their own displays.

St George’s Church is situated at the top of Brede Hill on the A28 opposite the Red Lion pub.

Stephen Edwards, from the church, said: “The organisers would be interested in hearing from anyone who would like to be a sponsor, perhaps in memory of someone or to promote one of the themes, which would go towards the cost of the flowers.

“If you would like to get involved with the festival, contact Bobbie Boud on 01424 882549 for more information or to become a sponsor.”
