Flower show fun for Lavant

LAVANT Horticultural Society held its annual Flower Show on Saturday, August 1.

Hosted at the Lavant Memorial Hall, many visitors came to enjoy the standard of entries, as well as tea and homemade cake.

Pauline Williams, chair, said: “Once again Michael Kingsford was successful in many classes - not only vegetables, fruit and flowers but also home produce! Hilary Osgood was also very successful in the flower arranging classes gaining two firsts and a second place thereby winning the King-Jones Cup for the most points but also the Olga Baldwin Cup for the best exhibit.
