Flytipping sorted for Buxton Drive resident

A Sidley resident who complained about flytipping is delighted with swift action taken by Rother District Council.

Andrew Perrin took photographs of the rubbish and waste chucked into the walkway at the back of his home in Buxton Drive and told the Observer how flytipping made the path unuseable and hazardous.

Now it's all gone and Andrew sent us pictures to show how different it looks.

He described the clean-up as "amazing" and said: "Thank you Rother council for a job well done, and I thank all concerned.

"It was cleaned up as pictures shows....what a difference, let's hope everyone watches out for the flytippers....rats must be crying in their sleep."

Head of Environmental Health, Richard Parker Harding said, "I would like to thank the housing association for their prompt action in thoroughly cleaning these alleyways. If any residents needs any assistance in removing household waste they should telephone our customer help point, 01424 787000. Hopefully, by working together we can prevent this local environmental problem occurring again.

The council is committed to reducing eye sores and fly tipping across the district through it's continuing Sense Of Place Project.
