Fraud suspects are both rebailed

TWO people who were arrested in connection with an alleged £900,000 that went missing from a solicitors’ client account have been rebailed.

In April, Sussex Police confirmed a 52-year-old Catsfield man and a 44-year-old Selsey woman were arrested on suspicion of fraud.

The arrests came as part of an ongoing investigation into CK Solicitors, in Selsey, which has since closed.

The arrested pair both answered bail this week.

The man was rebailed until September 26 and the arrested woman was rebailed until November 22.

A police spokesman said in April that the Sussex Police Major Fraud Unit was investigating events that led to the closure of the solicitors by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA). The two company directors of CK Solicitors were Simon Kenny and Emma Coates.

Police enquiries are continuing.
