Global Climate Strike takes to the streets of Brighton, in pictures
Thousands have taken to the streets of Brighton to call for action as part of a Global Climate Strike starting today (September 20).
Schoolchildren and activists are marching to draw attention to the climate emergency – and get world leaders to act.Inspired by Swedish schoolgirl Greta Thunberg, the march is a culmination of a series of strikes this year to draw attention to the climate crisis. It will be taking place from September 20-17 worldwide. On its website, Global Climate Strike says: “Our house is on fire — let’s act like it. We demand climate justice for everyone.”
