Grow your own food and get basket weaving, says environmental group

IT'S TIME for people to be more practical and re-learn some of the skills which were second nature to previous generations, says Transition Town Lewes.

The group has launched the Great Reskilling of Lewes, a campaign to help people to get to grips with basic skills such as growing food, repairing machines and clothes and belonging.

TransitionTown Lewes believes climate change and dwindling oil resources will make it essential for people to regain old skills and develop and share new ones.
