Hear from Uber and more digital firms at Talent 2018 conference

A representative from taxi firm Uber will talk about '˜Workplace Culture: What Happens When It Goes Really, Really Wrong?' at a digital conference in the city next month.

This comes as the company recently lost it licence to operate in Brighton and Hove, a decision the company is appealing.

Eugenie Teasley, Uber’s head of cities in south and east England, will be speaking at the Sallis Benny Theatre on Wednesday, June 6, as part of the three-day Wired Sussex Talent 2018 conference.

Wired Sussex is a Brighton-based membership organisation for companies and freelancers operating in the digital, media and technology sector in Sussex.

Day two of the event (Wednesday), gives CEOs, senior managers and entrepreneurs the chance to join inspiring leaders and thinkers for a practical conversation about our sector’s biggest skills challenges and innovations.

The conference kicks off on Tuesday, June 5, with a jobs fair at Brighton Dome, showcasing job opportunities in digital. There will be talks from local success stories such as ClearLeft, Propellernet and Brightwave.

The last day of the conference, on Thursday, June 7, will see the Porfoli Clinic take place at the Sallis Benney Theatre, enabling young people who want to specifically pursue a creative or design-led career in the digital, media or tech sector to get tailored one-to-one advice from top industry professionals.
