HEATHFIELD has recently gone on-line and needs more information to build up its database about the area.

The recently born www.heathfield.net has everything you could possibly want to know about Heathfield and the surrounding area. It gives you ideas on where to go and what to do and has suggestions for visitors. There will also be local news and views from all sections of the community as well as links to take you to websites of local facilities in the area including schools, shops, businesses, community projects, and clubs in the area.

Not only will these links be useful to people new to the area but they will also benefit residents who may need to brush up on local contacts.

Also on the website are links to parish, local and district websites for information on specific subjects giving users a complete outline of the Wealden District.

The aim of the website is to provide an accurate and useful resource for the community. However, help from the local community is needed so the website stays up to date and has everything on it you want. So, if you want your club or group to be noticed then contact the website and give them your details and they will do the rest.

Yvonne Hutchinson part of Heathfield Partnership, the driving force behind the site, said: 'Let's work together to make Heathfield a place to set the pace for all the other Wealden district towns - after all we are at the centre of the Weald so let's keep Heathfield at the centre of all that's going on.'
