Patcham resident Nick Yeomans previously worked in adult social care for 13 years, and will now run as an independent candidate for Brighton Pavilion, as he did in 2015.

He is campaigning for ‘urgent re-allocation of school places to Brighton’, to build more social housing, to scrap the business rate revaluation, and to end the rail strike.

He said: “If elected MP, I will use my experience and work with the community to achieve these goals. I am determined to integrate health and social care in the city to give people the care they deserve.”

Mr Yeomans claims that Brighton and Hove City Council ‘has let down the people’, and that central government should run the council to ‘protect frontline services and staff’.

The independent candidate is campaigning for ‘tougher sentencing’ and ‘stronger defence in a dangerous world’.

He will be standing against Caroline Lucas for the Green Party, Soloman Curtis for Labour and Emma Warman for the Conservatives.
