Lightning raid at Shoreham store

Police believe the burglars watched staff lock up the American Golf Discount Centre, in King George Parade, Upper Shoreham Road, Shoreham, on Thursday night, before forcing open the metal shutters at the rear and breaking into a store room.

They then grabbed thousands of pounds worth of golf clubs, bags and other equipment before staff were alerted to the alarm sounding 10 minutes later.

Police are asking for witnesses who might have seen any large vehicles parked in the area at around 8.20pm to come forward.

They are also warning people to be on the look out for cheap golf clubs being sold on eBay, in the Friday Ad or in pubs.
