The trial has proved that the public want a farmers' market at Little Common, says organiser Stuart Wood.

The success of the monthly Bexhill Farmers' Market in Parkhurst Hall led members of the public to approach him about the possibility of a market for Little Common. Shoppers appreciate being able to buy fresh locally-grown produce.

"Considering the weather was so bad, we did well. We had all the stalls and everyone said how well they did and everyone was pleased.

"I think it is good for Little Common. I think it brings people into the area. I have definitely seen people here from Bexhill so they will probably do some shopping in Little Common as well."

*A diary note for shoppers. St Martha's Hall is already booked in April and June. To avoid confusion the next Little Common Farmers' Market will be on Thursday, July 12 - the first of a confirmed monthly series.
