Mick Rodgers, a member of the Littlehampton Darts Organisation, put his skills to the test during the marathon fundraiser at the White Hart pub, in Surrey Street, Littlehampton, generating the impressive sum of £200 for the charity Jamie’s Wish.

Mick, who is a regular at the White Hart, challenged punters throughout the event for a small donation to the cause.

Landlady Jaki Cornford said this was the second time Mick had held the darts challenge for Jamie’s Wish and that he hoped to continue it every year.

She added that she fully supported the idea, explaining: “We love to support this worthwhile charity because it is locally based for local people in need.

“That means a lot to us as a local, community-led pub.”

A tombola and karaoke session was also held, with cash going towards the fundraising kitty.

The money was donated earlier this month to the charity, which grants special requests for terminally or severely ill children and young people.
