LIVES WILL BE LOST IF HOSPITAL IS TARGETED DOCTORS WARN TRUST

MORE than 100 GPs from across the county have written to West Sussex Primary Care Trust objecting to plans to down grade St Richard's Hospital in Chichester.

A total of 115 GPs from 22 practices are pleading on behalf of their patients to retain essential services at the hospital.

Together they serve a population of around 185,500 patients for which they say St Richards is the main provider of care.
