Local search agency due to host a charity football match to support Trevor Mann Baby Unit

Search Seven, a local search agency, are just a few weeks away from hosting what is set to be a spectacular event.

The S7 Ted's Trophy charity football match will be held at Shoreham FC on Sunday, September 7. All proceeds raised on the day will be going directly to the Trevor Mann Baby Unit (TMBU), a specialist unit for the care of premature and sick newborn babies, situated within the Royal Sussex county hospital.

The event is being arranged to highlight the work of the TMBU and in particular, to express thanks for the incredible dedication that the whole unit showed to help Ted Macdonald, who will turn two in October, to fight his way back from almost not surviving, or from suffering long term brain damage, to living the full life that he does today.

Ted is the Godson of Search Seven founder, Gavin Willis, who explains his reasons for arranging this charity event in his name: 'Ted will celebrate his second birthday in October and he is a very loveable, smiley, cheeky little chap, filled with joy and happiness.

"However, there can be little doubt that this would not be the case had Ted not received the fantastic care and attention that he did from the Trevor Mann Baby Unit in the first two weeks of his life.'

Ted was born via an emergency caesarean, after his mum, Claire, suffered a placental abruption, causing him to be starved of oxygen and arriving with a 0 on the Apgar scale. Ted endured an extremely difficult first few weeks of his life, and it was through the support of the exceptional staff and the ground breaking equipment at the Trevor Mann Baby Unit that he pulled through.

Ted's Trophy will be kicking off at 1.45pm on Sunday, September 7, and will see the Search Seven XI battling it out on the pitch against the Trevor Mann Baby Unit XI. Tickets are just £4, with no charge for under 12's.

It promises to be a great event, with a raffle after the match with some huge prizes to be won, a half-time penalty shootout, a licensed bar and much more. Sponsorship packages and advertising space within the match day programme are available through Search Seven and start from just £40.

All profits will go directly to the Trevor Mann Baby Unit.
