Only in Brighton. What on earth is Caroline Lucas doing flanked by Darth Vader and a Star Wars stormtrooper?

The Green MP for Brighton Pavilion set up her stall in Gardner Street to gather support for a campaign calling for more substantial action to tackle climate change.

The campaign - organised by The Climate Coalition - asks supporters to be photographed holding a giant heart explaining why they take climate change seriously.

Unbeknown to Ms Lucas, however, Geek Central - a "Geek-centric table-top sale" for Star Wars fans - was taking place just down the street at the Komedia.

So it was no surprise that Mr Vader and friend - characters created by George Lucas (no relation) and provided by UK Garrison, the country's foremost Star Wars costumiers - decided to wander by to see what was going on.
