Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the A267 at about 10am on Thursday, March 16.

A police spokesperson said a 70-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.The collision took place at Mayfield Road, near to Mark Cross. The man’s next of kin have been informed.

Police added that a report will be prepared for HM Coroner.

Witnesses or anyone with information about this collision is asked report it to Sussex Police online and quote Operation Texan, CAD 402 of 16/03
