Mast plan rejected
A mobile phone mast planned for land at Church Farm, Eckington Corner, Ripe, has been rejected by Wealden District Council.
The 20-metre mast had initially been recommended for approval by planning officers.
But after a debate last week councillors gave the scheme the thumbs down.
They said it would be visually intrusive.
They also queried whether it was necessary, citing several other masts nearby.
