Each ‘In Memory’ package supplied by ARKA includes a lantern decoration session, two places in the parade, and a name reading at the bonfire on the beach at the end of the evening.

Cara Mair, co-founder of ARKA Original Funerals said: “The response we received from people commemorating a loved one with a lantern last year was overwhelming and we simply had to offer the opportunity again.

“Burning the Clocks is a truly special event in Brighton’s winter calendar and we are delighted to be able to offer support for a second year.”

John Varah, artistic director at Same Sky, said: “We couldn’t be more grateful for ARKA’s continued support. As well as helping fund the event, they will give 25 families the chance to commemorate someone who has died in the last year.

"Burning the Clocks is only made possible due to the general public and local businesses. Those watching the parade and fireworks are also encouraged to make donations on the night to support this event, and, for the fifth year running, we we’d ask for support and via our Crowdfunder page.”
