No joint deal on waste
COUNCILLORS in Rother were advised this week that a cost-saving joint waste management contract with neighbouring Hastings remains tantalisingly just out of reach.
With barely a year in which to put a package together, director of services Tony Leonard advised Monday's cabinet meeting that there was a risk of expensive mistakes if Rother rushed into a joint deal.
