Dance Club meets in the Village Hall each Friday, at 7.30pm, and Badminton Club is in the Pretious Sports Hall at 8pm.

Northiam Friendly Bridge Club at 2pm for Chicago Bridge. Badminton is in the Pretious Sports hall at 5.45pm and Zumba at 8.15pm.

Tuesday brings us Tadpoles Toddler Group in the School Hall at 9.15am, Line Dancing in the Village Hall at 7.30pm, and Aerobics/Body Conditioning in the Pretious Sports Hall at 7.45pm.

If you were miffed not to win the tickets to the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in the Jubilee Raffle, the Historical and Literary Society have arranged a trip on Tuesday. To see if there are any spaces left, please call Bob Hinds (253341), cost £25 inclusive.

Rye and District branch of the National Trust will be having their monthly walk on Tuesday, leaving Camber at 10.30am for a flat 4 mile walk on the Marsh, with lunch at the Gallivant followed by 3½ miles across the dunes. Coffee Stop welcomes all-comers to the Church Centre each Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon, for a friendly chat over coffee and biscuits.

Beckley Players’ latest production, Key for Two, a farce directed by Ray Iremonger a Gala night on Wednesday, with tickets costing £10 including wine and canapés. Thursdays’ performance is just £6, Friday is a theatre supper night, with tickets at £15, and Saturday’s final performance is £6. Tickets are available from Ann Bowler – 01797 260232. Northiam Primary School will be holding their Summer Fair on Saturday 30th June – 11am until 3pm. Stalls will include jewellery, cards, gifts, face-painting, cakes and raffle. Come along to the school and enjoy a glass of Pimms and a delicious barbeque.

Looking ahead, Northiam Football Club is looking for new keen players to join the second team, currently in Division 6 of the East Sussex league. Training will start on the Playing Fields at the end of July, and anyone interested should contact Tony Bishop 01797 252843 (minimum age 16years).

Continuing the Royal theme of the last few weeks, Rye and District branch of the National Trust have two outings planned. On Tuesday 3rd July there is a trip to Windsor to explore The Royal landscape in the company of a Blue Badge Guide. On Saturday 6th October, there is a combined visit to the State Rooms in Buckingham palace and the Highlights Garden Tour.
