Opening of footpath at Hooe

The path represents an important improvement in safety as pedestrians no longer have risk walking in the road on a tight bend to get to the recreation ground.

The late Terry McGrath and Mrs McGrath agreed to gift the land, part of their garden, so the project could take place.

After the death of Mr McGrath their house was sold and the new owner Jessica Hodge agreed that the gift of land should still go ahead

Hooe Parish Council paid for the footpath and the associated works.

All villages residents were invited to join in the opening.

Dozens attended the celebrations.
