Cyclists: dismount!

AS A CYCLIST in my younger days I am pleased the present generation are able to cycle on specified areas of the promenade.

There is however a section at Felpham where they are instructed to dismount.

This is where the promenade narrows, has a double bend and provides access to the Beachcroft Hotel and the Lobster Pot.

This stretch of the promenade is very busy in the summer months when another cafe is open and there is activity from the sailing club.

Children also get down to the beach from this point.

Please cyclists, having been given access to ride on a long stretch of the promenade, is it asking too much for you to dismount at this point where pedestrians have priority?
