Building revered

HAVING seen the plans for building in the grounds of Rustington Convalescent Home, I felt that if the proposed building was not allowed to be any closer than the building on the other, right-hand side, and perhaps a row of trees planted down the boundary on the left side, the beautiful building would not be spoilt.

A local law should be passed, stating that no more building should be permitted on the site, nor should the convalescent home be demolished, ever.

Many locals, and perhaps people who have stayed there, revere this building, with which many local people grew up.

I am aware that not much heed is paid to the wishes of the public in such matters, but this is a major landmark to visitors to our seafront.
