Can we turn the gun on the pigeon mess too

THE town now has a state-of-the-art machine to eradicate chewing gum deposits left behind by those who indulge in spitting their gum onto the pavement, for some innocent passer-by to step on the sticky mess.

Is it possible that this machine could to a similar job to the foul mess left behind by wildlife, i.e., pigeons which frequent the shopping area, more specifically The Arcade?

It is revolting to witness the mess on the ground, particularly in the vicinity of the fruit and veg shop, plus the caf, and at the same time be aware of something falling from above.

It is hardly an inducement to encourage visitors to return.
