Dementia club in Slinfold now open

The new club is open every Wednesday between 10am – 3pm at The Cobblers, Slinfold.

The Slinfold Dementia Club is the third rural dementia club to be opened by Age UK Horsham District with Storrington and Henfield already providing Dementia clubs.

All three of the Dementia clubs are small, each taking up to 12 members which enables members to choose activities around their own individual hobbies interests and abilities.

One of the main objectives of the Slinfold Dementia Club is to provide much needed respite for carers allowing them to pursue their own hobbies or to work, whilst knowing that their loved ones are having an enjoyable day out.

A typical day at the club may include quizzes, light exercise, music, board games, arts and crafts as well as occasional trips and visits from outside entertainers. Also included in the fee is a two course lunch and all refreshments.
