LETTER: Caribbean event was huge success

On behalf of the Little Common/Bexhill Macmillan Cancer Support committee, I write to thank all who helped make the recent Caribbean Concert so successful.

We raised £1,354 to help patients with cancer.

A big thank you must go to the organisers of the event, namely Viv Barlow and Grace Heynes, whose hard work putting everything together helped achieve our result.

Thank you to Lynn Poll for the beautiful decorations she provided for the tables and for all her help on the day.

The food from Jerry at Mamma Putts African and Caribbean restaurant was superb and a thank you goes to Jerry and his team for providing and serving the meal.

The band were wonderful so a very big thank you to Angela Holland and her wonderful players at Parkwood School Co-operative Academy who made such a success of the evening.

Without your support this would not have been possible, so thank you for coming to our first Caribbean evening, we hope to see you again very soon.
