If Liberty’s MD Mr Blevins and his American company get their way this will become a familiar sight in Horsham.

We’ve already had a taste of what is in store from the west side of Horsham on the A24. This didn’t just affect Horsham residents but residents from all over the District.

Mr Blevin’s proposals for 2,750 houses (and counting as they are likely to use the land reserved for the ‘industrial park’ for more housing as they did in Kent) north of the A264 will create years of chaos on the northern bypass - more roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, sets of lights, etc.

Feeder roads into Horsham – Worthing Road, Rusper Road, Crawley Road, North Heath Lane will be gridlocked at certain times of the day.

What effect will all this have on the tradespeople in Horsham?

Worthing is an example of the answer to that question. The whole District needs to wake up to what is in store – and traffic chaos is just one manifestation of inadequate infrastructure which HDC has still not commented on.
