LETTER: Put new centre next to hospital

Whilst the merger of three town surgeries to be situated in a new health centre has much to commend it, the proposed site of the centre in Broadbridge Heath would cause considerable inconvenience to thousands of Horsham patients, unless adequate means of transport is provided.

In particular, I would suggest the elderly who do not drive, and those families with one car, where the car is used by the breadwinner. Two of the three people interviewed by Joshua Powling live in Southwater, for whom it would be just as easy to go to Broadbridge Heath as it would to Horsham.

Would a new health centre in Hurst Road, adjacent to the hospital, when the fire and ambulance services are relocated, be a better position?
