LETTER: Sturdy sign in wrong position

If you decide to leave Horsham’s Worthing Road and follow the River Walk path alongside Staples, you will find an Information Board giving path directions from Tan Bridge to Doomsday Bridge.

The board is very well illustrated and produced, and very substantially supported on sturdy wooden posts, with concrete spurs fitted to the posts as they enter the ground. Hopefully to make it vandal-proof.

What a pity it has to be removed and relocated, for it is on the wrong side of the path.

If you stand facing the board, it suggests that you need to turn right and follow the path past Staples to Doomsday Bridge, which is totally the wrong direction.

One would need to pick up the board, turn around 180 degrees reposition it then turn right, and cross the Worthing Road, to follow the path to Doomsday Bridge.
